Recap of Day 6
Katie Ledecky (NCAP / Stanford (deferred) / Stone Ridge / MCSL’s Palisades) finished 7th in the finals of the women’s 100m freestyle, thereby not qualifying for the Rio team in the shortest distance that she attempted at Trials.
Andrew Seliskar (NCAP / University of California at Berkeley / Thomas Jefferson / NVSL’s McLean) finished 7th in the finals of men’s 200m IM, thus missing a spot on the U.S. Olympic team in this event.
Jack Conger (Univ. of Texas / NCAP / Our Lady of Good Counsel / MCSL’s Flower Valley) tied for 3rd in the semifinals of the men’s 100m butterfly, thereby winning a lane in the final on Saturday night.

Recap of Day 7
Katie Ledecky finished 1st in the finals of the women’s 800m free, being on world record pace for much of the race until she fell off of it towards the end. All counted, Ledecky qualified for 4 events in Rio – 200 free, 400 free, 800 free, and 4 × 200 free relay.
Jack Conger placed 4th in the finals of the men’s 100m butterfly, missing the #2 spot needed to qualify for Rio in the event by 0.06 seconds (i.e., 51.20 vs 51.26 seconds). All told, Conger made the Rio Olympic team in the 4 x 200 free relay, but barely, barely missed it in 3 events (200 free, 200 fly, 100 fly).
