Supporting Yabby’s Family

We received notice of this tragic loss earlier today and have included a message from the organizer of the GoFundMe campaign:

“Yabby, an amazing 10 year old member of our Rockville Montgomery Swim Club family, was tragically killed, and her mother was seriously injured, in a car accident while traveling abroad. Yabby was a talent in the water, a loyal and warm friend to all both in and out of the pool, and her loss is deeply felt by everyone who knew her. Yabby is survived by her parents, brother, and sister, some of whom were also involved in the auto accident and injured. The family will need all the help they can get and we know what big hearts our local community has. Please help us raise funds to assist the family with the many costs incurred in the accident, including what are likely to be substantial ongoing medical costs. The injuries Yabby’s mom Saba has suffered are significant; they will involve long hospital stays, and ongoing care, rehabilitation, and therapy for some time to come. During this terrible time of loss for the Woldyes family, please help us ease their burden by contributing any amount, large or small, to our fundraiser.
