Swimming into the weekend…
By Reach for the Wall Staff
This weekend, be on the lookout for the the Virginia High School League (VHSL) District Championship meets, as teams begin their march to State Championships. The schools in Virginia are split across 43 districts and 6 regions. We’ve seen social media posts from a few schools that will live stream the events:
Concorde District:
Oakton Athletics Facebook
Madison Swim and Dive: Instagram Live
Patriot District: Robinson Swim and Dive Facebook
Liberty District: Herndon Boosters Facebook (the boys competed on the 27th & girls competed on the 28th)
National District: Not sure if there is an ‘official’ live stream, but we found one from Wakefield via their Twitter account
Potomac District: will be on the NFHS Network, we haven’t seen any other platforms
NFHS Network: Several VHSL Meets are listed…however, this link requires a membership fee to watch
Add to the comments or shoot us a message if you know of another meet that’s being live streamed.
Good Luck to all the swimmers and divers competing this weekend!

Sadly, this is the second straight year that no Potomac District championship meet has been held. For the first time last year (2020), the Potomac District meet was dumped from the traditional VHSL post-season slate of three championship meets: DISTRICTS, REGIONS, & STATES. This omission leaves a glaring hole in the resumes of high schools comprising the Potomac District and, more significantly, reduces from three to two the number of “suited” championship meets using electronic timing required for swims to qualify for NCSA All-America recognition.
