MCSL All Star Meet Photo Vault Part 2
Photos by Marcus Chen
Ok so we know it’s the middle of October, but we had all these photos in our vault & needed to get them out to you! It’s been an exciting start to the 2025-2026 Short Course season, with PVS holding their first LSC-wide competition with the annual October Open, and some individual athletes reaping the rewards of their hard work over the summer season. Back in September, USA Swimming announced the National Junior Team which includes Sadie Buckley (Nation’s Capital Swim Club) who qualified in the 200 Back, 200/400 IM and Alyssa Sagle (Nation’s Capital Swim Club) qualified in 100/200 Back. Download the Full Roster. Further, USA Swimming invited four swimmers from PVS to participate in the National Select Camp- The camp consists of 52 athletes from each competition category. The fastest three available athletes from each competition category in each Long Course Meters (LCM) Olympic pool event will be selected for a total of 42 male and 42 female athletes. The Camp is held on October 9-12, 2025 (Boys) and October 23-26, 2025 (Girls) at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Lexie Bishop (All Star Aquatics) 200 Butterfly, Andrew Vanas (Nation’s Capital Swim Club) 50 Freestyle, Luc Dionne (Nation’s Capital Swim Club) 200 Breaststroke, and Griffin Oehler (Rockville Montgomery Swim Club) 200 IM. We’re looking forward to covering the season as it unfolds- enjoy the shots below from the last MCSL summer meet.

Good to see Karla Wilson still competing and coming within a couple seconds of her record, but should a 51 year old really be swimming an 8 and under event?
🙂 a few of us were there when that record was set…
