ORLANDO – The National Club Swimming Association Junior National Championships (NCSAs) started yesterday and run through March 19th at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, FL. Potomac Valley Swimming (PVS) is proud to be represented at the meet by 7 teams and nearly 400 athletes. This is a fast meet attended by mostly high school aged swimmers, but there are a handful of younger kids that made the qualifying times (2016 NCSA Time Standards). This meet has preliminary and finals sessions – “prelims” are swum in short course yards and finals are swum in long course meters, giving kids an opportunity to swim both pool lengths and the opportunity to make an Olympic Trials Cut in finals. The qualifying times for the Olympic Trials must come from a swim in a long course meter pool .
