Day 3: Elite Showcase Classic

After Day 3, several PVS teams are locked in a battle to win the 2017 Elite Showcase Classic (April 5-8) in Clearwater, Florida.

On the women’s side, The FISH is in 1st place with 359 points, Nation’s Capital (NCAP) is 3rd with 260 points and Occoquan is 5th with 202 points.  On the men’s side, NCAP is in 1st place with 393.5 points, The Fish are in 11th place with a 110 points, Mason Makos are 14th with 94 points, and Occoquan is 15th with 93 points.  Overall, NCAP is in 1st place with 653.5 points, followed by FISH in 4th place (469 points), Occoquan in 7th place (295 points), and Mason Makos in 17th place (152 points0.

As for individuals, Michael Mullen (11 yrs – NCAP) and Emma Redman (10 yrs- The FISH) continue to be undefeated at this meet. Mullen won the 100 IM, 100 Free and 100 Fly, while Redman won the 100 Free and 50 Breast.

Brett Feyerick (NCAP) placed 1st in two events – the 14 year old Boys 100 Back and 100 Free.  Hayes Goetcheus (NCAP) won the 14 year old Boys 1650 Free, Charles Greenwood (NCAP) touched first in the 10 year old Boys 50 Breast, Jillian Johnson (NCAP) won the 14 year old Girls 100 Fly, Carly Sebring (NCAP) swam to first in the 12 year old Girls 200 Breast, and Chase Travis won the 14 year old 1650 Free.

Feyerick and Sebring also broke PVS Resident Records. Feyerick set a new mark in the Boys 13-14 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 50.39. Sebring broke a PVS Record in the Girls 11-12 100 Yard IM with a time of 59.31.
