PVS captures 2nd place at Eastern Zone LC Age Group Championship!

The final day of competition concluded with the team from PVS vaulting themselves into 2nd place in the overall team standings. It was a see-saw battle throughout the week between the swimmers from New England, Middle Atlantic and Potomac Valley. Ultimately New England took the title with 1285 points, Potomac Valley was 2nd with 1052, and Middle Atlantic 3rd with 952. The 10 & Unders started off the scoring for the day with strong finishes in the 200 IM and carried that momentum to the 200 Medley Relays, where the Girls placed 4th and the Boys in a thrilling ‘come from behind’ finish,  took the top spot!

The ‘elder’ PVS swimmers did their work in the morning sessions to ensure there was at least 1 PVS swimmer in the top 8 in every event at Finals. In the Boys 15-18 200 breaststroke, 5 of the top 8 swimmers were from PVS!! The swimmers are on the bus returning home tonight beaming with confidence, earning their 2nd place finish and a well deserved few weeks of rest before Short Course season begins in September.
