MCPS first duals of 2020

The high school teams were back in action Saturday to kick off 2020. Several teams maintained their perfect dual meet records, with the Girls teams from B-CC, Churchill, Einstein, Wootton, Magruder and Clarksburg all winning on Saturday. In the Boys standings, Whitman, Blair, Wootton, Rockville, Wheaton, Clarksburg and Springbrook all remain unblemished. The closest meet for the boys was between Damascus and Quince Orchard. Anchored by wins from Cole Greenberg (100 free, 100 Back, 200MR, 400 FR) and Scott Schwendinger (50 Free, 200 MR, 200 FR) Quince Orchard prevailed by 4 points. For the Girls, the matchup between Einstein and Rockville was tight, but with wins by Lauren West ( 500 Free, 200 IM, 200 MR, 200 FR) and Celia Ford (100 Back, 100 Fly, 200MR, 200 FR), Einstein won by 8 points. With a few more weekends to go before Championship season, the standings for each division are shaping up, any surprises?
