MCPS Schools vie for Region titles this weekend

Two weeks ago MCPS wrapped up their dual meet season with teams competing for the Division title, here’s the final team standings within the Divisions:
Last weekend we witnessed some amazing swims at Metros and luckily for MCPS schools, there are 2 more championship meets left to cheer on their favorite high school swimmer and team. The Maryland Region dive competitions will run February 13-14 at the sites noted below, and the swimming portion of these competitions will be held February 15th.
Regions is an important meet because it is the only qualifier for States (see this article detailing the ins and outs of qualifying for Maryland Championship meets). Regions and States are fun, we often see kids swimming different events than they do at Metros, and it is great to see the kids competing at the regional and state level.
