Montgomery County MD Recreation Department update 5/11/2020

We, as many of you are waiting eagerly for guidance from our local and State government on when (and how) the county and neighborhood pools can operate. The latest information was sent out in an email this morning & unfortunately doesn’t provide much guidance, only updates to events that have been cancelled. The Department went as far as to tell the community that they too are searching for a way to operate & have much uncertainty:

“The recreation team is working tirelessly to make plans for a fun and safe summer season of activities, classes and camps while being mindful of the challenges presented by COVID-19. Safety standards will require us to restructure the ways we deliver services, and we don’t know just yet how summer camps, outdoor pools and other summer activities might be provided.”
