Summer League- coming soon to a neighborhood near you!

While it’s not an ideal weather weekend, we’re so happy to write about pools opening and upcoming swim season rather than what we had to report last year! We’ve received notification and/or seen on the various league websites that summer league meets will happen for 2021! We are excited for the young swimmers that endured the past 13 months of limited opportunities and will get a chance to experience the community & weekly competition while representing their neighborhood teams.

Yes, the weather is less than ideal this weekend, but the pools are open & many have taken to Twitter and social media to celebrate:

The summer leagues are poised for competition in June, with the Prince William Swim League (PWSL) meets starting June 12th. Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL), Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL) will all start June 19th and Prince-Mont (PMSL) June 26th. While each league is separated into divisions, MCSL ( 6 teams each division A-O, except 3 teams in O for 2021), NVSL (6 teams each division, 1-17), PMSL (4 teams per division, A-E) and PWSL ( 3 teams per division, Blue, Red, White, Yellow, Green, Black, Orange, Purple). PWSL is the only league that competes across divisions for their dual meet season. Here’s the breakdown of divisions and meet schedules for each league:
