Olympic Trials: Day 1

By Reach for the Wall Staff

The Trials started yesterday & if it’s any indication of what the next 7 days will entail, we’re in for a real treat! Two American records went down in the prelim & semifinal heats, with Michael Andrew setting the 100 Breaststroke mark in the prelims (58.19, the prior mark was 58.64), then going faster in the semi-final in 58.14! Earlier in the semi-final round, Torri Huske (AAC) electrified the crowd in the first heat of 100 Butterfly, by hitting the turn at the 50 under world record pace, and finishing in a new American record: 55.78, just 3 tenths shy of the World Record!
