2021-2022 PVS Scholar Athlete Award: DEADLINE is October 31

The 2022-2023 Short course season has officially begun with a slate of meets competed over the October 1st weekend. With that in mind, there’s still some ‘administrative’ work PVS athletes need to do to gain recognition for their hard work during the 2021-2022 season! PVS recognizes their athletes to emphasize the importance of scholastic achievement and is open to all PVS/USA Swimming athletes who:
- Have completed grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 during 2021-2022;
- Have attained a 3.5 or higher grade point average (GPA) for the 2021-2022 school year; AND
- Have achieved a 3.5, or higher, Event Standard Average in a minimum of five events. NOTE: a maximum of two (2) ‘B’ times or one (1) ‘C’ time are permitted.
The GPA requirement is for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. An applicant can have a GPA lower than 3.5 in a specific grading period, so long as the year-long GPA is 3.5 or greater. Also please note that per the PVS Board, modifications to these criteria will be considered to allow Athletes attending Fairfax County Schools to be judged on an equal basis with Athletes from other School Districts. Furthermore, Home‐Schooled Athletes shall be eligible to participate, provided that their Application is reviewed and approved by a Committee appointed by the PVS Board. All applications and report cards must be submitted and/or emailed no later than October 31, 2022. Don’t miss out on this important recognition- you’ve earned it!!
Application Process:
The Student Athlete must submit an online application. No paper applications will be accepted.

In preparation for the submission, each student must have the ability to upload their final report card, be sure to have this in digital form or contact your school to provide it to you. In lieu of uploading during the application process, the final report card can be sent to the Scholar Athlete Coordinator via email to: scholarathlete@pvswim.org
