Ledecky Breaks World Record at World Cup!

Indianapolis- On the final day of Leg 3 of the FINA World Cup, Katie Ledecky put her stamp on the competition with an astounding World Record in the Women’s 800 Freestyle, finishing in 7:57.42, nearly two full seconds ahead of Mireia Belmonte’s 7:59.34 from the 2013 World Cup in Berlin. Her first 400 split of 3:56.64 would have placed 2nd overall in 400 Freestyle race (to herself), so it was evident as she set the pace that something special was unfolding.
