Reach for the Wall .org!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bethesda, MD, June 11, 2018—Reach for the Wall today announced a re-launch on the reachforthewall.org domain. In July, 2009 The Post launched a Web site dedicated to swimming, the site included stories from Post reporters, individual team pages, results from the area’s weekly summer league meets and a searchable results database. For approximately 6 years, the website thrived under the guidance of the Post. In December of 2015 the Post divested, and a group of passionate swim parents set up a non-profit organization to run the site and re-launched in the Spring of 2016. Now in 2018, the team felt it was time make another change ahead of the busy Summer League season. While the .com address served us well, we felt that moving things over to a .org address better fit the mission we are dedicated to fulfill. We want to emphasize that this is a non-profit organization, whose sole mission is to support the swimming community in the DC, MD and (Northern) VA area- better coined as the DMV. We are psyched to continue to provide our local spin on swimming events and features including:
• Guest editorials
• Summer swim league results
• High school meet results
• Virtual meets
• Podcasts
• Meet calendars
• Results from PVS meets
• Swimmer stats
Most importantly, we want to make this site inclusive, believing that all swimmers (and their parents and coaches) are great and deserve a forum.

Will we still be uploading summer swim team results articles to the same Google drive folders we used in previous years? I’ve tried emailing you on the Contact[at]reachforthewall.org email address, but I’ve been receiving delivery notification failures.
